Some truths: Foreign language courses are in a class apart where you must never play for time. Any postponement means failure in a foreign language course where it is mandatory to put in minimum of 3 hours weekly and 15 minutes on a daily basis. Devote any additional time in pursuing your language lessons but not more than 45 minutes per session.

Split your study up into several small sessions. Attend classes regularly, if you want to pass the course and you are serious about the language. Run through your past learning on a regular basis as this is going to improve your learning for example check out your stock of vocabulary. Here are some pointers given below which can make the job of learning a foreign language a walk in the park.

Understanding what is written: Try to understand the gist of what is written rather than stopping to know the meaning of a word you are uncertain about. Read the language in small bits daily especially from the text book.

Start talking: Making mistakes is natural so listen to others in the class and start to speak. You can have a good practice of the foreign language if you speak out loudly to yourself, to others in the same class or with your dog or cat at home.

Noting it down: Know how to express yourself in writing everyday till it comes a part of you.

Write down a passage of the language as part of a dictation from a friend and then correct your own writing.

Some Miscellaneous Helps: View the foreign language learning positively and set achievable goals. Ensure that you have set objectives and are clear about the paths which would take you there. {1.f you need help get it and do not be afraid to ask questions or ask for help for fear of sounding stupid, or being embarrassed.} There is nothing to feel embarrassed when you need help or have questions in your mind. {2.Get audio tapes of the language and listen to them or make you own tapes and listened to yourself in order to perfect your pronunciation.} 2.To excel in pronunciation, listen to audio tape of others made with the language or record something yourself and listen to them. 3.Try making colored flash cards for improving vocabulary where you use different colors for the different genders and categories of words like nouns, verbs, etc. 4.Make studying a group experience where your classmates can also help.
